Jacky

Director

Jacky has lived in North Warwickshire for 35 years . She was elected as a Borough Councillor for the Dordon ward in 2015 and has served as a Trustee on several national and local charities concerned with tackling health inequalities and young people’s health and well-being. Before she retired, she had a long and distinguished career as a public health doctor in Birmingham, working for both the NHS and Local Government for which she was awarded an OBE in 2008. Having gone camping and taken narrow boat holidays with her family whenever she could, Jacky wants Ruby’s yard to be a place where people can enjoy the canal, experience the great outdoors and learn to value the natural world without having to pay a lot or travel very far.

Polly

Director

A friend of the family, Polly has a history of working with children; from coaching kids in summer camps to teaching snowboarding on the ski slopes. Polly grew up enjoying all the extra curricular activities her mother tirelessly organised. Appreciating how important they were in developing her skills and confidence as a child, she is keen to invest in the youth of today. Now with her own business in the city, she is helping the team with their digital marketing and providing consultation where needed.
